General practitioners in the Czech Republic from a demographic view

Abstract

The article deals with the availability of health care in the field of general practices, from the perspective of the care according to the sufficient number of practitioners. Attention is paid to the uneven age structure of practitioners, as well as regional differences.

There is pointed out that if there will be unsystematic solution of generational change of physicians, there may be disturbed the availability of this basic care in the near future.
