Population censuses are one of the main data source for the fertility analysis from the cohort perspective. In the last quarter century held three general population censuses (1991, 2001 and 2011) in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
An integral part of these censuses was the question on the number of births among women. It can be assumed that the level of cohort fertility indicators due to a dramatic transformation of society in both countries will vary both in time and space.
