Overview of changes in land use and land cover in Eastern Europe

Abstract

This chapter presents an overview of landscape changes (spatial distribution and intensity) in Eastern Europe during the periods 1990-2000 and 2000-2006, as well as a useful a mapping methodology for presenting landscape changes on a macro-scale.
