Academic postgraduate conferences play an increasingly larger role in establishing new generations of researchers. Creating opportunities for the dissemination of research and open dialogue should be one of the essential aims towards which the university must strive in the education of their graduates and the development of future experts.
The academic study of theology belongs to a broader sphere of research that is grounded in the methods and aims of other modern disciplines, especially the humanities and social sciences. Its aim is not solely focused on past traditions and what might be called 'the familiar concepts,' but also on its relevance in the contemporary market place of ideas, interacting with a wide array of disciplines, even with the sciences.
