Abstract

Basis: Posture and its importance in rehabilitation and in sport theory is commonly discussedproblém.In this article we focus on the effect of speciál applied for 8 weeks period in the preparation period of extra league ice hockey players. In every week micro-cycle the players undertook 40-minute period of flowin exercises and another 40 min period of exercises with balance tools (fitball, aerobar, foam-roller and other).

Group: Monitored group was created by proffesional ice hockey players - A - team HC Bílí tygři Liberec. Experimental group of 12 hockey playres and control group of 12 hockey players were chosen randomly.

Methods: Experimental study with the control and experimental group that underwent an intervention programme - exercises on unstable platforms. 11 tests were chosen to assess the effect of intervention -for the assessment ofpostural changes via observance in three planeš - posture assessment from the front, from the behind and from the side. Assessment was made via statistical significance based on single factor analysis of variances (ANOVA).

Results: From the results of players as well as from individual test assessment via ANOVA we may conclude that an 8- week preparation period is not sufficient to form bigger changes in posture of professional ice hockey players as a response to intervention exercise programme with balance tools. Conclusion: The results of this work for rehabilitation practice point out that an 8-week intervention programme with a frequency of 2x40 minutes is not sufficient to reach significant improvements in posture in adult population.

But on the contrast, for the ice hockey sport training, these results are important since they prove that also during the preparation period can mildly influence the motion systém of players without significant disruption of training intentions.
