Treatment of colorectal cancer is associated with a number of not only urological complications. The most serious complications are those directly related to radical treatment and complications caused by local growth of a tumor mass.
Specific are functional complications after radical surgery or radiotherapy. This review article discusses various types of complications, their diagnosis, possibilities of their immediate management and long-term treatment and monitoring.
The main stress is put on interdisciplinary cooperation with participation of surgeons, urologists, oncologists and other specialities.
