Abstract
ESSK system allows a research of the various aspects of ascertained crime. It also provides a wide range of information on crime perpetrators.
The paper describes several interesting indicators, which are monitored by the system, especially focusing on those details that are not normally published. The structure of crime in recent years is undergoing a dynamic development - there is an increase of the proportion of women on the identified culprits and also the overall aging of registered offenders.
In the future it will be necessary to adapt the system to these new circumstances. There is an overall decrease of data quality in the whole system.
