This review provides a summary of findings concerning the food allergy, food hypersensitivity reactions, and atopic march in children and adolescents. Early childhood is thought to be a key period for the prevention of allergic march and adolescence is another key period for the recurrence.

The prevention of recurrence would decrease allergic disease in adulthood.
