The Creation Hymn holds a very prominent position in the whole of Hebrew Bible. Forms a kind of a flag or a key signature for the subsequent texts; in other words, the texts that follow stand in a shadow of the Creation Hymn.
The fact that the Creation Hymn stands out as a normative text, sets a prism for the reader's perceptoin and casts a certain light on the following texts. It becames a guidepost that helps the reader find his/her way through the Hebrew Bibel, and shows how the listeners are expected to listen, and underlines the areas of emphasis in the Tanakh.
To be specific, these are: a) recurring sentences, phrases or words; b) direct speecg quotations (the Lord's statements in this case); c) text structure; d) rhythm, poetic discourse (hymn style); e) confession of faith (a statement about God).
