Abstract
The review focuses on the main motives of the Phenomenology of Spirit on occasion of the publication of a Slovak translation by P. Elexová.
The review takes the Afterword by Robert Maco as its starting point. In the first place, it examines Maco's question, why one should engage in a metaphysician's work.
The reviewer questions the assumption that Hegel is indeed a metaphysician. In the last part of the review, the author dwells on specific solutions by the translator whose work is assessed as exceptionally well-done.
