This paper deals with integration of the soil and water assessment tool (SWAT) model and the satellite images from the Landsat program. The scenes from Landsat (5, 7 and 8) are used to explore land cover changes through several decades.
For land cover changes in the area of interest, supervised and unsupervised classifications are employed to find and compare spectral classes that are attached to the basic land cover types: artificial surfaces, agricultural areas, forests and semi-natural areas and water bodies.
