This paper deals with the temporal rhythm of the educational relationship - it considers the roles of necessity and contingency, the circumstances around the so-called happy moments of education, the temporal heterogeneity of education and the problem of responsibility arising from the temporal nature of education. The text is methodologically based on a hermeneutic-phenomenological position.
