Abstract
The book contains the most influential works of Jindřich Nečas, one of the founders of the Prague School of Partial Differential Equations. Each group of papers is complemented by comments of experts in the corresponding fields, with the aim to put J.
Nečas's work into the context of the latest developements in the area. In addition, biography, complete list of publications and some personal recollections of his collaborators as well as some personal correspondence and photographs are included.
