Abstract
Consciousness is a concept which in modern philosophy has become the centre of attention. The question remains, however, whether there is in fact a single, intuitive concept of consciousness.
The aim of our conference was to look for an answer to this question by investigating and comparing various conceptions of consciousness from Descartes to contemporary discussion.
