Abstract
In the chapter, the author focuses on legal aspects of perinatology, especially on mutual rights and duties between the patient, healthcare workers and other person involved in providing perinatal care. Special attention is paid to informed consent of the patient, statutory conditions for treatment without a consent and to the protection of the life and health of the (un)born child.
In the second part of the chapter, difficult practical cases are analyzed, incl. their legal solution according to the Czech legal order.
