The author introduces all end-of-life decision which could be taken into account with regard to a patient in advanced/terminal stage of incurable oncological illness and analyses these decisions with respect to the legal liability of a healthcare worker. Beside the legal liability for life termination on request, the contribution deals with potential legal consequences of assisted suicide, palliative sedation, withdrawal of o mechanical support of vital functions and withdrawal/withholding of a futile treatment or treatment not agreed by the patient.
