Right to (Cross-boarder) Healthcare and the Sustainability of Healthcare Systems from the European Perspective

Abstract
This paper examines the right to healthcare as it has been recognised by the most relevant international treaties, with a special focus on the European perspective and cross-border healthcare. Whilst analysing both the most important legal provisions on the right to healthcare and the case law established by European Court on Human Rights and European Court of Justice, this paper primarily aims to show the right to (cross-border) healthcare within the context of inevitable rationing of the scarce resources.
