Abstract
In this part of the monography the author deals with a phenomenon of the last decades on the financial market - shadow banking. At the beginning of his text he describe the subject matter of the term banking in connection with the term commercial banking, he links the theoretical point of view with the actual Czech legislation as well.
Later, he gets to the term of shadow banking itself, to the subjects acting in the shadow banking, to the relationship of shadow banking to ordinary financial institutions, particularly to commercial banks. Afterwards the author pays his attention to instruments and processes that are used in the shadow banking, particularly securitization and repo trades.
