Abstract

The Film Council was a consultative body of the minister for information and education and also served as the supreme agency for assessing films from the ideological perspective. It was tasked with putting together a production plan for Czech film, overseeing production step by step and organising film criticism.

The second part of the article explores the actual organisation of the collection, carried out according to the new Essential Rules for the Processing of Archival Materials.
