Abstract

The subject of the study are the semiotic and communicational aspects of rhythm. The study approaches these aspects from the point of view of the theory that is called rhythmanalysis, in continuity of the philosophers such as dos Santos, Bachelard a Lefebvre.

The first part studies in what way the structuraly oriented semiotics and linguistics contribute to the knowledge of rhythms. The next one focuses on the anthropologically oriented rhythmanalysis and its results in the study of individual and social demonstrations of rhythm.

In the final part the attention is drawn to the concept of polyrhythm
