Abstract

The chapter presents the general assessment of the architecture of the large shaft tombs (dated to the final part of the 6th century B.C.E.) that had been unearthed by the Czech archaeological mission at Abusir, Egypt since 1981. Those tombs are compared with other structures of the same type that are known from Egypt so far.
