Abstract
Over the past years, pivoting methods, i.e. machine translation via a third language, gained respectable attention. Various experiments with different approaches and datasets have been carried out but the lack of open-source tools makes it difficult to replicate the results of these experiments.
This paper presents a new tool for pivoting for phrase-based statistical machine translation by so called phrase-table triangulation. Besides the tool description, this paper discusses the strong and weak points of various triangulation techniques implemented in the tool.
