Abstrakt
The article presents a brief history of Polish studies at Charles University in Prague. This field of study has always been an important part of Slavonic studies.
Today it is included in Central European Studies. In the text they are presented the most important directions of research on Polish language, literature and history and activities undertaken by academics of the Department of Central European Studies.
