Reconciliation of labour and family life from the point of view of the EU law

Abstract

The paper deals with reconciliation of labour and family life from the perspective of EU law, especially of relevant directives. in connection with protection of equal treatment, a number of recent cases of the CJEU is discussed and analyzed. The EU law provides for quite a strong protection of parents, even if single cultures in different Member States view the reconciliation issue in a different way, the CJEU case-law provides for good legal argumentation even in national cases.
