Long term or short term? Climate change and the demise of the Old Kingdom

Abstrakt

This study is dedicated to the so-called Bond event dated to 2200 BCE. It was a period of general demise of the Old Kingdom and a rather rapid decentralization and loss of complexity in Ancient Egypt.

The climate causes are discussed in this contribution.
