The main aim of this chapter is to introduce measurements of reading decoding skills used in a testing battery of our project GACR Reading Comprehension - Typical Development and Its Risks. Besides the description of the tests, we also present the results achieved by 1 st to 4 th grade students.
When describing data, we focus on those indicators considered in further analysis in reading comprehension prediction models. At the end of the chapter, we investigate the comparison of isolated word and context reading scores and we discuss the strength of correlation between real word and pseudoword reading assessments.
