The present article is a second part of the text focused on the pharmaceutical care of selected diseases of the cardiovascular system in the elderly I. This part has focused on pharmaceutical care in peripheral arterial disease, coronary heart disease and chronic heart failure, which are extended in the older population.
In the health care of older patients with cardiovascular disease, in addition to pharmacological therapy equally important non-pharmacological interventions. The most important risk factors that can affect the rational provision of patient care in pharmacy include smoking, hyperlipoproteinemia and obesity and reduced physical activity.
Just enough physical activity in elderly patients is often neglected.
