Abstract
The article focuses on the organization of the community of Danish immigrants to Argentina, specifically in Buenos Aires and the so-called Danish colony, in the time framework of 1870 - 21st century. Unlike other immigrant groups, the Danes have maintained their community activities which involve regular meetings at occasions related to Danish culture or the history of the Danes in Argentina.
Institutions have helped them to maintain the sense of community and solidarity among its members. The article is based on field work in Argentina in 2009 and on anthropological, historical and other sources dealing with this topic.
