Optical and electrochemical properties of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin (TPPS4) and its zinc complex (ZnTPPS4) and their interactions with various cyclodextrin derivatives in aqueous solutions were studied. The interaction was monitored by UV/VIS absorption detected both by UV/VIS spectrophotometer and in a optical thin layer spectroelectrochemical cell at various potentials.
The measurements revealed strong interaction of the TPPS4 and ZnTPPS4 with cyclodextrins.
