Dialysis modality and mortality in the elderly: a meta-analysis

Abstract

Studie studying relationship between mortality of elderly patients and the method of dialysis, that is between peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, arrived to the conclusion that one-year mortality is higher with peritoneal dialysis, event within the subpopulation of patients with diabetes mellitus.
