The chapter provides an example of joint stock companies characterized by a high resistance to fluctuations in the economic cycle. The impacts of the economic crisis in the 30s in the production and profits of the joint-stock brewery in Smíchov showed only slightly.
The management of the company used difficulties of the competitors to increase the market share. The methodological approach of the study is based on a comprehensive analysis of the manufactured article, range of customers and business strategy of the company management in crisis and pre-crisis period.
