Abstract
Česká čítanka is intended for students of Czech as a second language at Common European Framework level A2, who have had at least 50 hours of language training and actively know at least 500 words. Language topics are arranged such that when students finish the book, they will have mastered level A2 actively and levels B1 to B2 passively.
There are about 3,000 lemmas used in the textbook. Considerable attention is paid to the function of aspect and its contextual differences in Czech.
