A handbook on design, implementation and evaluation of heritage education for secondary schools becomes one of the project outputs. It seeks to answer the question ""How to share responsibility for cultural heritage with children and young people between twelve and eighteen years of age"".
It provides a basic theoretical insight into the concept of heritage education and learning and summarizes practical guidelines for the development of educational programmes, including ways of communication or use of teaching and learning tools. Four examples of good practice that are presented in the last section of the book illustrate possibilities of unlocking educational potential of authentic ambience of various heritage sites (e. g. chateau, monastery, sala terrena, castle) in order to meet the targets of secondary education.
