The publication deals with social inequalities in access to quality higher education and related aspects such as regional mobility of higher education graduates. The publication consists of four chapters.
In the first chapter the influence of social background on inequalities in access to tertiary education of children from different social groups in the Czech Republic in the European and historical context is analyzed. The second chapter deals with the definition and determination of quality higher education and at the same time with the relationship between obtaining a quality higher education and social background.
In the third chapter the relationship between social background and obtained level of higher education and a graduation of a specific higher education institution is examined. The last part deals with regional mobility of higher education graduates in the Czech Republic.
It addresses issues such as in which region graduates had lived before beginning of higher education studies, in which region they attended their higher education institution and after finishing studies in which region they have worked eventually.
