Abstract

The author discusses the development of written texts and their role in the early days of the Czech Přemyslid state. It shows the role of lettres in communication of the sovereign and political representation with the highest ecclesiastical and imperial officials.

Further indicates the importance of documents , in particular mandates and lettres to promote the consolidation of royal power and state administration. It also monitors the role of the charters , which were a means of royal power and the consolidation of state and a propaganda tool .
