This publication presents the results of the projection of the labour market in the Czech Republic to 2025 prepared as an outcome of project PŘEKVAP (Qualification needs forecasting). It deals comprehensively with both sides of the labour market as the demand side (jobs) and supply side (people, labour force).
First the publication briefly analyses the historical development of the labour market in the Czech Republic. Then the main future expected trends are defined.
Next part is a forecast of jobs by 26 sectors. Another part of the publication presents the results of forecast of jobs by 40 occupational groups.
Result of forecast by 43 educational groups (level and field of study) is the next part of this publication. The next two chapters deal with the question of over-qualification of employees (are jobs filled by people with degrees and qualifications appropriate to the job's requirements?), and also analyse changes in skill requirements of jobs.
The final chapter shows the results of forecast of the supply side of the labour market, labour force (people).
It shows how educated people would be in 2025 available for the labour market. Subsequently compares the mismatch between the supply and demand of the labour market, thus identifying the most and least perspective groups of people (by their education).
