Abstrakt
Max Weber and Barrington Moore are the authors who in their works have successfully employed historical and sociologial approaches regarding explanation of transitional process towards modernity. The first part of this essay deals with Weber's and Moore's elementary methodological differences by critically assessing Moore's conceptions about modernization transitional processes.
The second part of it critically reflects upon Stokes'application of Moore's concepts and theories on selected national development.
