David Vichnar's accompanying study to the translation of Philippe Sollers's H analyses his theory and practice of fiction (under the rubric of Tel Quel magazine), presents an historical overview of the post-1968 period in France, and reads Sollers's most experimental text in the context of the legacy of Joyce's Finnegans Wake.
