Abstract

The essay presented the fates of children in marriage politics and the interests of the dynasty. It indicated primarily the wedding contracts berween children served as a political instrument for thier fathers.

As an rare example is used the realized marriage of daughter of Charles IV. Margaret of Luxemburg (*1373) and John III of Hohenzollern (* 1369), which was negotiated prior to their birth (1368).
