Abstrakt
The submitted study was originally presented a workshop at the conference of the European Evangelical Theologians, which was held in Paris in 2014. The choice of the theme was related to the five hundredth anniversary of the Jan Hus burning at the stake.
Workshop briefly discusses the Hus childhood, his studies at the University of Prague, then his understanding of obedience or resistance to the three authorities: the spiritual, secular and religious. Obedience mentioned authorities is to be observed when their orders and regulations do not contradict God's law, otherwise the resistance.
