A comparative approach in research of the history of Bohemian urban administration in the Early Modern period - existing research and prospects for the future

Abstract

The article aims to: a) provide an overview of existing research on the history of the administration of Bohemian towns with an emphasis on comparative elements; b) highlight current trends and potential relevant topics for the coming years; c) point out possible pitfalls and results based on the author's experience from his own research comparing the administration of various types of sites in the central Elbe region during the Thirty Year's War.
