Preferences for microgeneration technologies: are Czechs ready to pay?

Abstrakt

Adoption of micro-generation technologies by households increases share of renewable energy in the residential energy mix. Yet, introduction of these technologies is hindered by many barriers, price being one of the most important.

We examine the motivations and barriers of adopting microgeneration technologies in residential sector and estimate the willingness to pay of Czech households for eight different microgeneration technologies.
