Abstrakt
The modern and post-modern people in their sought for ""non-authoritarian authority"" seem to rediscover the original meaning and connotations of ""auctoritas"". When the authority of the Christian scriptural canon is concieved according to its historical development, it emerges that it canonises plurality of witnesses, a main feature of ""non-authoritarian"" authority.
