Hus fundamental ecclesiology in the perspective of biblical personalism

Abstract

The study critically analyzes the structure Husovy fundamental ecclesiology (Chapters 1-5, the treatise De ecclesia) in close connection with its interpretation in terms of biblical personalism (Zdenek Trtík). In the opening passages, trying to comprehend why it happened in biblical theology of personalism Church of the Czechoslovak (Hussite) in the sixties to revitalize interest in just about Hus fundamental ecclesiology.

From the comparative analysis Trtíková interpretation of the first chapters Hus treatise shows that Trtík like many of his predecessors, artists used it to analyze inappropriate explanatory diagram Church visible - invisible (empirical - non-empirical), which has become essential until a century later, the Reformation theology. Trtík but stepped right direction when he wanted to point out the visible aspects of understanding Jan Hus Church.

The incorrect conclusions may lead overemphasis Hus realism, which may give the impression that Hus main emphasis on the invisible aspects of the Church. According to the authors of the study Hus tried to build his ecclesiology especially on visible elements of the Church, which also can be attributed to certain aspects of the terms "predestination" and "mystical body of Christ" because it is motivated purge already perfect earthly struggling church (ecclesia militans).
