This contribution deals with the Tibetan term ""dmu"" in wider aspect. The opening part describes the term as a synonym of the ""gshen"" which is a family name of Shenrab Miwoche.
It mentions the confusions those are created in the adoption of these two terms by the clans such as Ya-ngal, Gu-rib, Skam-tshang and Smon-gyal respectively. In the conclusion, it offers solution regarding the puzzling differences between ""dmu tsha sga"" and ""sga tsha dmu"" clans.
