Tranzitory moments in childs life

Abstract

Transient moments in a child's life are related in our cultural environment mainly with transitions from one level of education to another. We describe how to support the initiative and self-control of the child when entering kindergarten.

We also describe the importance of self-control in the transition to primary school. For the period of transition from fifth grade to the sixth grade of primary school or to secondary school we emphasize the need to support children with lower academic efficacy.

The same applies for the transition from primary to secondary school. A positive finding is that children and adolescents perceive the change as essentially positive, and most children are ready to cope with the changes.
