Abstrakt
The paper will briefly summarize the findings of long-term project, "The History and Theory of 19th Century Czech Verse," which is based on a large corpus of syllabic-accentual poetic texts (over 2,500,000 verse lines). The following issues, among others, will be discussed: the association between rhythmical types and the date of publication, the association between distribution of vocalic quantity and the distribution of certain morphological features, as well as the possibilities of identififying authorship based on such variables.
