Abstract

This book brings an analysis of three codes which enacted legal regulations on sentencing and punishments in the Lands of the Bohemian Crown - the Kingdom of Bohemia, the Margraviate of Moravia and Principalities of Silesia. The enactment included the codification of (a) the Municipal Rights of the Bohemian Kingdom of 1579, which gradually came into effect also in Moravia and Silesia, (b) the Renewed Constitution of the Lands, issued after Ferdinand II's victory in the Battle of White Mountain, applicable to the Bohemian Kingdom in 1627 and one year later also to the Margraviate of Moravia; and (c) Joseph Is Criminal Procedure Code of 1707.
