In contemporary pluralist societies, new questions have arisen regarding an identity of Christianity and of individual ecclesiastical bodies (churches). This article presents a reflection on identity in the context of parish administration in the Czechoslovak Hussite Church.
First, it offers a distinction between personal and non-personal dimension of identity. Then, the personal dimension is described as a fundament of spiritual space, in which the Christian identity of a local ecclesiastical community is creatively preserved and responsibly passed.
Finally, the issue of identity is developed further through a partial discussion on catholicity, baptismal vocation, mission, service of the word, and celebration of the eucharist.
