Abstract
The paper reviews the czech translation of the book of Philipp Ther with original title Die neue Ordnung auf dem alten Kontinent. Eine Geschichte des neoliberalen Europa.
It evaluates mainly the terriotial scope of the analysis in relation to the resolution of the author to get over the paradigm of backward East and advanced West. Ther achieves his goal only partly by inovative comparisons.
The paper criticizes the disorganized use of the cultural-antropological approach, discourse and semiotic analysis.
